Spend the day at Riverside Park
Riverside Park is a wonderful 24 acre park that features Turtle Island Playground, four tennis courts, a riverwalk for hiking, biking or running, concessions within the Harry Moore Pavilion, as well as paddle boat, tandem bike, and fishing pole rentals. The park is also home to many special events throughout summer including Music at Harry’s Place, a Friday evening summer concert series.
Turtle Island Playland:
Located near the Lagoon and Harry C. Moore Pavilion. With a lookout tower, treehouse, and a shipwreck, Turtle Island is a fun-filled adventure playland for children. Open sunrise to sunset daily, April through November.
These courts are available to the public and are also light for evening play. The tennis courts are open until the park closes.
Riverfront Concessions and Rentals:
Offers rental of paddle boats and tandem bikes at the Riverfront area. The paddle boats are located on the docks in the lagoon. Operating hours are June-August: 11:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday11:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. September: Saturday & Sunday ONLY noon-7:00 P.M.

Cruise Nights have returned to Shopiere for the second season! The Soda Shop is open for adult beverages and ice cream. And, the Tap is open to satisfy your hunger pains and quench your thirst. Pizza ovens are coming soon!
Enjoy a bit of Americana and a great haircut at Austin’s Barber Shop
Time has been kind to this quaint piece of Americana. Very few changes have been made to the “classic” barber shop’s style in its nearly 100 years of history. You still see the leather, porcelain, and nickel-plated barber chairs!
Tours and grinding 12-4 pm. Chili and corn muffins. Beckman Mill offers guided tours every Saturday & Sunday from 1-4 pm through October, and they demonstrate corn grinding on the first Saturday of the month. 11600 S. County Rd. H.
