Street Dance August 4, 2023

Street Dance is the Downtown Beloit Association’s largest annual event and continues to grow! This year’s event is on Friday, August 4th in the heart of Downtown Beloit and starts at 5:30 pm. Tickets for the 29th annual Street Dance are just $10 and anyone under the age of 14 are free.

Get ready to dance! That Gurl, one of the best 70s dance party bands in the area covering funk, disco, and rock will take the stage from 5:30-7:30pm as the opening band. From 8:00-11:00pm we welcome headliner, Mister Pink, to the stage. Mister Pink is a Beloit, WI area band playing danceable funk, pop, hip-hop, soul, and rock from the past and present.

Several food vendors will be on-site to satisfy your appetite, and there will be a beer tent to quench your thirst!

Make a Day of It!

Come to Beloit early in the day for sidewalk sales and kids fun from 8 am-2 pm. You will find great deals from local shops, artisans, and vendors! Kids’ activities include face painting, balloon animals, and more!

You can also have lunch and enjoy a free concert at Fridays in the Park. For just $8, you get a lunch and drink combo served by a local restaurant from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. This year’s lunchtime music break is brought to you by Frank & Co. Band and lunch will be served from 5Bar.

Stroll through the historically preserved downtown, and see an exceptional array of boutiques, galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, a record store, and even an old-fashioned barber shop!

Get up early on Saturday to experience the award-winning Farmers’ Market! This open-air market has been in operation for more than 40 years and is the second largest in the state, showcasing over 130 vendors and bursting at the seams with fresh produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, jewelry, crafts, handmade soaps, kettle corn and pastries, and that’s just the beginning! On August 5th the excitement of the Street Dance continues with sidewalk sales during the Farmers’ Market.

Beloit also offers several museums and historical opportunities including the Wright Museum of Art, the Logan Museum of Anthropology, Historic Auto Attractions, guided tours of Beckman Mill, and the Beloit Art Center just to name a few.
