From local pubs and breweries to restaurants and even a winery, you’ll sip your way through the vibrant Stateline Area, tasting craft beers, zesty Bloody Marys, classic Wisconsin Old Fashioneds, and fine wines. Here’s how it works

Let the adventure begin! Kick things off by signing up for the free Beloit & Beyond Beers & Cheers Trail on your mobile device. Save it to your home screen for easy access so you don’t miss a stop, you’ll thank us later! The trail takes you to 18 awesome locations, but you only need to visit four to earn points and your prize. Once you’re at the location, grab your drink, ask your bartender or server for their secret code, punch it in, and watch for the points to start rolling in. Some stops even have exclusive deals when you check in. Don’t forget to show us your journey on social media by tagging @VisitBeloit and using #VisitBeloit for a virtual cheers.

what to drink

Not sure what to drink while exploring the Beers & Cheers Trail? Each stop along the way offers its own exclusive craft cocktails that are unique to that location. When you kick off your visit to Beloit, we recommend starting with a classic Bloody Mary, topped with all the fixins’. If it’s your first time in Wisconsin, make sure you and your friends try a Brandy Old Fashioned, as it’s a state staple and a must-try! Beloit is also home to two breweries that craft their own beer in-house, so you’ll be able to taste brews you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, many of the local bars and restaurants offer Wisconsin-made beers on tap. And for wine lovers, the Stateline Area has a beautiful winery as well as many specialty wine labels from all over the world.

One of our dedicated Beloit explorers, Hannah Lane, not only completed the Beers & Cheers Passport Trail but also tackled all four of our trails in 2024, making great memories while checking in at various establishments with her family. Hannah visited all 18 stops on the trail, each offering a unique sipping experience.

Pictured here with her father at DC Estate Winery in South Beloit, IL, Hannah enjoyed sampling the Peach Honey and Cranberry wines while playing tabletop games. Some of her favorite stops included 5BAR, where she loved the unique atmosphere and specialty-themed cocktails, and watching the sunset with a charcuterie board on The Rooftop at Hotel Goodwin.

Hannah discovered the Beloit & Beyond Passport Trails after seeing information on the Visit Beloit Facebook page. What she loved most about the trail was adventuring to new spots like Hidden Creek Estates and CheezHead Brewing, which she tried for the first time, as well as revisiting familiar places she hadn’t been to in a while.
