I-39/90 southbound expansion (south of US 14/Humes Road interchange to Hart Road bridge over I-39/90), Janesville to Beloit
Anticipated construction completion: Spring 2020
• All I-39/90 traffic shifted onto the northbound concrete pavement from Hart Road near Beloit to south of the US 14 interchange (Exit 171B).
o Two lanes remain open in each direction, separated by a median barrier wall.
o Be alert for crossovers, don’t tailgate and drive with caution through this area!
• Mount Zion Avenue under I-39/90 is OPEN.
• Updated: East Milwaukee Street under the Interstate is CLOSED to remove bridge formwork.
o 6 a.m. Monday (Oct. 14) to 6 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 15)
o Alternate local routes are required.
• Updated: Ruger Avenue under I-39/90 is OPEN.
• Palmer Drive under the Interstate is OPEN.
• Updated: Brief closure of WIS 11/Racine Street ramp to I-39/90 southbound in Janesville.
o 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. each morning, Monday through Wednesday (Oct. 14-16)
o Alternate local routes are required.
• Updated: The WIS 11/Racine Street ramp to I-39/90 southbound in Janesville is CLOSED for the County O deck pour.
o 3 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 17) to noon Saturday (Oct. 19)
o Alternate local routes are required.
• County O/Delavan Drive under the Interstate in Janesville is OPEN.
• Spring Brook/Ice Age National Scenic Trail under I-39/90 is CLOSED until fall 2019 – weather-permitting.
o Bicyclists and pedestrians should follow posted detour route.
• Updated: Short-term closure of emergency vehicle pullouts on I-39/90 southbound between WIS 11/Avalon Road (Exit 177) and County S/Shopiere Road (Exit 183).

I-39/90 expansion and I-43 reconstruction (Illinois state line to Hart Road; County X/Hart Road to Freeman Parkway), Beloit
Anticipated construction completion: November 2019
• All I-39/90 traffic shifted onto the new northbound concrete pavement, between Cranston Road and the Illinois state line.
o Two lanes remain open in each direction, separated by a median barrier wall.
o Access remains OPEN to the Beloit rest area via the new exit to the rest area located south of the Stateline Road overpass.
o Be alert for crossovers, don’t tailgate and drive with caution through this area!
• I-43 traffic shifted onto the new northbound concrete pavement (County X/Hart Road to I-39/90) until November 2019.
o One lane open in each direction on I-43, separated by a median barrier wall.
o Be alert for crossovers, don’t tailgate and drive with caution through this area!
• Updated: Nighttime closure of the I-43 southbound loop ramp to I-39/90 southbound in Beloit.
o 10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 17) to 5 a.m. Friday (Oct. 18)
o Alternate local routes are required.
• Updated: Nighttime closure of the I-39/90 southbound ramp to WIS 81/Milwaukee Road (Exit 185A) in Beloit.
o 10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 17) to 5 a.m. Friday (Oct. 18)
o Alternate local routes are required.
• Updated: Starting 12 a.m. Monday, October 21, the I-43 southbound ramp to County X/Hart Road ramp will be CLOSED until Monday, November 4 (weather-permitting).
o Alternate routes are required.
o Crews will replace sections of pavement on this ramp.
• Colley Road under I-39/90, near Beloit, is CLOSED until fall 2019.
o Alternate local routes are required.
o One lane closed on WIS 81 from Freeman Parkway to the current lane closure on I-43.
o Gateway Blvd., from Hart Road to Millington Road, reduced to one lane in each direction.
