65th Annual Beloit & Vicinity Opening Reception

65th Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition
Wright Museum of Art, Beloit College
The Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition, one of the oldest continuous juried art competitions in the state of Wisconsin, is back for its 65th year. Jurors are comprised of regional curators and established artists. This year, we are pleased to announce Carrie Johnson, Executive Director of the Rockford Art Museum, and Frank Juarez, award winning artist, educator and former gallery owner.
They have selected twenty five works that highlight the depth and breadth of our regional art. The awards will be announced at the opening of the exhibition, at 5:30pm. The Juror’s Award winner will have a gallery show the following year at the Wright Museum. Prizes for 2nd and 3rd place will be given. A People’s Choice Award will be presented at the opening and will be featured on the front cover of the catalog the following year.
The Hollensteiner Gallery will be open for viewing, as well as the solo exhibition of Ashely Dallas, winner of the 64th Beloit & Vicinity.
Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
Free and open to the public!
