Meet the Crew!

My name is Kylie Thompson and although I no longer permanently live in Beloit, I still consider it my home! I attend school at St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin where I am a junior majoring in communication and media studies with a double minor in women and gender studies and leadership studies. Some of my hobbies include being active in my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, participating in the performing arts, and pageants! My favorite thing about Beloit is the endless opportunities this city gives to its citizens to grow and thrive. My favorite place in Beloit is the public library, and a fun fact about me is that I had the honor of serving this great city for a year as Miss Beloit 2015.
My name is Sara and I was born and raised in Beloit. Next fall I will be a junior at Beloit College, majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Anthropology. Outside of work and school I enjoy hiking and singing. I also performed with theatre throughout my time in school. In addition to my job as a GTC member, I will be working at the Welcome Center, and I am a RA at Beloit College. My favorite thing about Beloit is all the great things there are to do here. From the food, to the parks, and all the events; it has so many cool things. My favorite place is riverside park because I love taking walks with my family and friends or riding in the paddleboats. I also love to bring children I know to turtle island. A fun fact about me is that I had my gallbladder removed in May of 2016.
My name is Samantha Abrams, but you can just call me Sam! I’m a recent Beloit College graduate from Gaysville, Vermont – a village of only 75 people! I earned a B.A. in Spanish with a Theatre Performance minor. Some of my favorite hobbies to do during my rare free time include listening to music, participating in theatre and the performing arts, and practicing my Spanish. This summer, in addition to working for the Go To Crew, I am working for the Beloit College Athletics Department as the Summer Office Assistant and a Front Desk Monitor, as well as teaching an ESL class at Stateline Literacy Council and babysitting. I begin a full-time, year long internship with the Beloit College Office of International Education in mid-July. My favorite thing about Beloit is the community activities and events that bring people together in Beloit’s great outdoor spaces, and one of my favorite places in Beloit is the Chic & Unique clothing store on State Street downtown. One fun fact about me is that I can beatbox!
My name is Natalie Fowler and Beloit is my hometown! I am a senior at Carroll University student Elementary Education and Special Education minoring in Early Childhood Education. My hobbies include spending time at my family’s cabin, being active in my sorority, and collecting books. I also work as the Summer Camp Teacher for Child’s First Day Care in Janesville. My favorite thing about Beloit is the consistent drive to improve itself while also maintaining the history and tradition that its residents stay for. My favorite place it is the perfect example of what makes Beloit great! A fun fact about me is that I chose Carroll University in Waukesha, WI because it reminded me of Beloit!
My name is Tess Schober and I was born and raised in Beloit, WI. I am a senior at F.J. Turner High School and will be graduating in June 2017. In the fall I plan to attend UW-Milwaukee with an undecided major. I love to be outside and hang out with my family and friends. I also work at Buffalo Wild Wings as a hostess. My favorite thing about Beloit is the downtown and the uniqueness of this city. My favorite place in Beloit is Flying Pig because it has good ice cream and it’s a nice hang out spot for my friends and I.   My name is Dawson Babcock, and my nickname is “Daws The Boss”. I am from Janesville, WI and just graduated from Janesville Parker High School. I plan on attending UW-Whitewater in the fall to pursue a degree in Music Education. Some of my hobbies are music, sports, watching movies, traveling, and hanging out with friends. I have 2 other jobs besides the GoToCrew. I am a soccer referee for US Soccer in the spring and fall, and I also am a car detailer at Affordable Detailing in Janesville.
