Rock County Jumpstart will celebrate its 5-year anniversary on March 29, 2024. As part of our milestone celebration, we are thrilled to announce the dynamic social justice advocate, Brandi Grayson, as our keynote speaker. Her passion and dedication to creating positive change align perfectly with our mission.

Brandi is a prominent social justice advocate and community organizer known for her activism work in Madison, Wisconsin. She has been involved in various initiatives and organizations that focus on racial and social justice, including the Young, Gifted, and Black Coalition (YGB), which she co-founded. Brandi Grayson has been a vocal advocate for police reform, racial equity, and social change, particularly in the Madison area.

Brandi is the founder, President and CEO of Urban Triage – a nonprofit organization based in Madison, Wisconsin, that focuses on addressing racial disparities and promoting social justice within the community. The organization is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, particularly Black communities, and works on various initiatives to address issues related to racial equity, economic disparities, and social injustices.

Dr. Sagashus Levingston will join us as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Sagashus is known for her work as a social entrepreneur and author. She founded the organization “Infamous Mothers,” which focuses on empowering and celebrating women who are often marginalized or overlooked by society, particularly single mothers. Sagashus Levingston has written a book titled “Infamous Mothers: Women Who’ve Gone Through the Belly of Hell and Brought Something Good Back” to share the stories of these women and inspire others.

Join us on March 29th for food, fun, reflection, and inspiration.
