Dining in Beloit at Velvet Buffalo Café is sultry, witty and refined and combines the décor of a turn-of-the-century European café with subtle contemporary nuances.
Located inside downtown’s newest boutique hotel—Hotel Goodwin, Velvet buffalo features a chef-driven menu that focuses on local farmers and artisan vendors all centered on a stone-lined oven burning at 700 degrees. The in-house wine bar will offer a carefully curated selection of wines by the glass from all parts of the globe, as well as an extensive bottle list.
Patrons are able to complement their wine section with small plates and stone-fired pizza made with fresh, local, and hand-crafted ingredients. During the warmer months, the windows will open to offer an open-air dining experience. In addition, there is a private dining room and glass-enclosed rooftop space, which opens to a terrace.
