Watercolor 101 Workshop

Ready to try watercolor for the first time?

This class is designed for complete beginners — no experience needed!

We’ll start with the basics: learning about watercolor paints, brushes, and paper types. You’ll also get to experiment with fun extras like salt, alcohol, masking fluid, pen and ink, and watercolor pencils.

Then we’ll dive into a variety of techniques, including wet-on-wet, dry-on-wet, and how to create interesting textures like barnwood, sand, and reflections.

Our main project will be a lighthouse scene that puts all your new skills into practice. We’ll even talk about how to “rescue” a watercolor that didn’t turn out as planned — because every painting has potential!

ALL materials are provided: paints, brushes, paper, and paper towels, plus guided instruction by Lynette. Students are welcome to bring their own supplies if have them and would like to learn how to use them.
