Beloit Minor League History

The only professional baseball team in Beloit before the Snappers arrived in town in 1982 was a team affiliated with the old Class D Wisconsin Association in 1905.

Beloit Snappers

The team was known as the Beloit Brewers (named after the parent club) through the 1994 season, and then the club changed the name to the Snappers.

The Beloit Snappers were a Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers from the time they joined the Midwest League in 1982 until the end of the 2004 season

The Snappers were affiliated with the Minnesota Twins from 2005-2012 and a Class A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics until December of 2020.

In 2021, the Beloit Snappers became the Beloit Sky Carp, a High-A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
