1. Tour Beckman Mill

Beckman Mill is the oldest operating grist mill in Wisconsin and is located at Beckman Mill County Park, 6 miles west of Beloit. On the grounds of the 50-acre county park you will see the authentically restored 1868 mill, pond, fish ladder, foot bridge, saw mill display, 1840s cooperage, visitor center, gift shop, creamery, blacksmith shop, vintage garden, nature trail, and more. On July 21st, there will be an Ice Cream Social and Artists in the Park event from 12-4 pm. Bring the family to enjoy old-fashioned ice cream and watch artists at work. There will also be a book signing.


2. Take in a Beloit Snappers Game

The Beloit Snappers are a Class A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. All home games are held at Pohlman Field in Beloit. The Snappers play 70 home games and ticket prices start as low as $6.50.

3. Get Lunch & Enjoy Live Music at Fridays in the Park

Fridays in the Park is an annual summer lunchtime concert series that has been held in the heart of downtown for three decades. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend!

Take a lunch break from 11:30 am-1:30 pm every Friday to enjoy fantastic free live musical performances at the First National Bank Plaza. In addition to the music, you can purchase lunch and a soft drink or water for just $7. There is a different band and restaurant featured each week. Beloit’s award-winning market has been drawing thousands of locals and visitors to the heart of Downtown Beloit since 1974!

5. Rock Out to the Region’s Best Bands at Music at Harry’s Place

Music at Harry’s Place is put on by Friends of Riverfront and features jazz, blues, swing, and big band. There are some picnic tables on site, but many people bring their own your lawn chairs or blankets. Summer is about relaxing under the stars while enjoying awesome live bands! There are also several food truck vendors offering a variety of tasty treats, soft drinks, and beer for those of age.

The concerts take place on the bank of the beautiful Rock River in Riverside Park, offer breathtaking views at sunset. The park is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your well-behaved pup on a leash.


6. Enjoy a Eclectic Mix of Vendors and Live Music at the Rockton River Market

The Rockton River Market brings downtown Rockton to life every Wednesday June-August. Held in Settlers Park, the market offer a mix of food and vendors selling a variety of goods. Live bands begin performing at 6 pm. Get the lineup of bands here.

Rockin’ the Range will take place at picturesque Beloit Club from 3-8 pm and promises a fun evening with friends or family. The outdoor festival will feature music, great food, and tasty beverages! Enjoy live music from headliner, Zac Matthews Band, voted the #1 Country band in Wisconsin in 2019! Unwind at the with blues, rock, and country music brought to you by the Ryan McGrath Band. There is no cover charge for the bands. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chairs.


9. Cool of With a Craft Brew

G5 Brewing Company is Beloit’s newest and only brewery. Brewhouse consultant and nationally certified Master Beer Judge, Keith Symonds, was hired to help establish the G5 Brewing brand. The brewery features a 10-barrel brewing system. They are currently serving 12 brews including wheats, IPAs, browns, and stouts just to name a few.

In addition to beer, they offer five white wines and four reds and a full menu, including appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, and pizza.

The Rotary River Center and John Rose Canoe & Kayak Launch offer kayak rentals. To rent a kayak, simply visit one of the Beloit locations and use the self-serve kiosk for a quick online rental.
