Visit Beloit Helps Beloit Bundle Up

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 21, 2025

During the months of September and October, Visit Beloit invited residents to drop off new or gently used coats, snow pants, sweaters, hats, and mittens as part of their Beloit Bundle Up campaign. There were several drop off locations throughout the city, including the Wisconsin Welcome Center – Beloit, Stateline Family YMCA, Downtown Beloit Association, and the Beloit Farmers’ Market.

The most recent Beloit Bundle Up campaign was a great success. This year, 539 items were collected that were all donated to Community Action, Inc, which is a vital organization in Beloit that is doing significant work to help those in need.

The total Beloit Bundle Up donations collected were:

“Every coat, hat, and pair of gloves collected through Beloit Bundle Up represents more than warmth – it represents compassion, dignity, and community,” said Marc Perry, Executive Director of Community Action, Inc. “When neighbors come together to meet a basic need, we’re not just preparing for winter – we’re building a stronger, more caring Beloit. We are especially grateful for organizations like Visit Beloit, whose generosity helps keep families safe and warm during the coldest months.”

Community Action, Inc. will host an Open House Coat Giveaway at the Merrill Community Center on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Ensuring everyone has access to warm clothing this winter is our opportunity to bring comfort to those in need in the Beloit area,” said Celestino Ruffini, CEO of Visit Beloit. “We’re incredibly grateful for the community’s generosity as this year’s collection surpassed last year’s total, making an even greater impact. We look forward to continuing this effort and hosting the drive again next year.” This is the fifteenth year Visit Beloit has coordinated the Beloit Bundle Up clothing drive.
