Always & Forever LLC
Owner: Shatoria Teague
Products: Bride/bridesmaids gowns, suit rental, and all formal wear.
“I’m Shatoria Teague married to Jacob Teague. I have one daughter and two stepsons. I was born and raised in South Beloit, Illinois. I am also the owner of Sunshine Photo. I started my own business because I love this shop. Always & Forever has been a bridal shop since 1990 and has had two different owners since then. To have a piece of history and make girls’ dreams come true for that perfect dress prom/ bride is the best feeling in the world.
We are a true one-stop-shop, and we can help you will all your planning needs—for example—we offer alterations, photography, tux rentals, and more!”
Owner: Jenny Hoople and Raul Casique-Montes
Products: Local vegetables, organic groceries, Beloit-made pottery, and Lake Michigan stone jewelry.
“My husband and I have lived down the street from this storefront for 18 years and were excited for the opportunity to renovate this space and bring some life back into our neighborhood. My husband has worked on organic vegetable farms in the stateline area for 20 years and I’ve worked on a vegetable farm for 10 years. I also worked at the the Beloit Public Library and for myself as an artist during that time. We decided to open up a Jenny and Raul store so that we could more fully share our talents with Beloit and help alleviate the food desert that developed in our neighborhood after Cub Foods and Sav-A-Lot closed.
We have the freshest seasonal vegetables in Beloit and they’re available all week long and in limited amounts through the winter. Why run out to a big store when you can get most organic grocery basics right in your own neighborhood? Plus, the nature-inspired pottery I make is really awesome!”

Taylor + Max
Owner: Lisa Washington
Products: Ethically-made clothing for children and apothecary for baby and moms.
“I moved to this area from Chicago by way of Memphis, TN. When we started to grow our family, I noticed that there weren’t any children’s shops that had the esthetic I love. So I found myself shopping while traveling. After my second son and daughter, I noticed that they were uncomfortable in their clothing. They also developed skin irritations. After researching I discovered that a part of the problem was the clothing I purchased for them. I changed to all organic and it made a big difference. I want to make it simpler for design conscious moms to shop for their kids.”
