BELOIT, Wis. – The Stateline Area is welcoming September with a lineup of events that celebrate the community, embrace the changing season, and offer plenty of reasons to get out and explore. With the start of spooky season, longtime local traditions and special milestone celebrations, September is packed with things to see and do throughout Greater Beloit.

“September brings some of our most anticipated events of the year, and this year is no exception,” says Savannah Schindler, Director of Communications with Visit Beloit. “From Beloit Heritage Days and the start of the Halloween season to a big anniversary for the Beloit Autorama Car Show, there are many ways to experience what makes our community so special.” In addition to these September highlights, visit our website for details on other exciting community happenings throughout the year.

Beloit Sky Carp Baseball | April – September, view schedule | ABC Supply Stadium

Head to the ballpark for big-league excitement at minor-league prices with the Beloit Sky Carp! Catch the final 2026 homestand at ABC Supply Stadium, featuring exciting giveaways, theme nights, special promotions, and more. Purchase tickets online or at the gate.

First Friday Gallery Reception | Friday, September 4, 5-7 p.m. | Beloit Art Center

Visit the Beloit Art Center on the first Friday of each month for the Opening Reception of new exhibits. Local and regional artists will have their artwork featured in both the Bell and Sveum Galleries. This event is free and open to the public, with refreshments available. Beloit Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, May – October, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Downtown Beloit

Start Saturday mornings at the Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market! With more than 130 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, and so much more, it’s the second-largest farmers’ market in Wisconsin, drawing more than 6,000 visitors each week. In addition to shopping, enjoy live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and explore the downtown businesses.

Vintage & Makers Outdoor Market | Saturday, September 5, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Best of Beloit Vintage Mall

Experience a full day of shopping featuring a curated mix of vintage collectors, antique vendors, and local artisans. Browse unique finds, handmade goods, and more while enjoying live music and an on-site food truck. This event is family-friendly and free to attend.

Guided Tours | Every Saturday & Sunday, May – November, 1-4 p.m. | Beckman Mill

Beckman Mill, a 50-acre park featuring a restored 1868 grist mill, dam, and mill pond, is open for tours throughout the warmer months. Guided tours are offered every weekend, with additional demonstrations on the first Saturday of each month for a small charge.

Cruise Night at the Museum | Wednesday, September 9, 4-7 p.m. | Historic Attractions

For family fun during the week, stop by Historic Attractions to see a showcase of antique and vintage cars, enjoy live music, and grab dinner from the food vendor. This free event also includes discounted admission to the museum and is the final event of the summer monthly series.

Beloit Heritage Days | Friday, September 11 – Sunday, September 13 | Various Locations

Explore free events, historic sites, hands-on activities, guided tours, and more during the 50^th annual three-day celebration of Beloit Heritage Days. With events taking place throughout the community, visitors can pick up or print a Beloit Heritage Days passport, get it stamped at four events, and earn a free turtle sundae from Beloit Culver’s. This year’s theme, Open Doors Beloit, invites the community to step inside and explore local historic sites that will open their doors for the celebration.

Haunted Attraction | Every Friday & Saturday, September 18 – October 31, 7-11 p.m. | Sound of Terror Haunted House

Get ready for a night of scares at Sound of Terror Haunted House in South Beloit, IL. Experience an indoor, climate-controlled haunt and outdoor labyrinth filled with giant monsters, live actors, high-quality animatronics, surround sound, and disorienting twists and turns. Tickets for this thrilling haunted attraction can be purchased online or on-site.

11^th Annual Flying Circus Fun Fly | Saturday, September 19, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Rock River Aero Modelers Society Flying Field

The Rock River Aero Modelers Society is hosting a family-friendly outdoor aircraft flying event, open to the public. Attendees can enjoy a free swap area to buy or sell items, along with refreshments. RV camping is offered for those interested in staying overnight to experience night flying on Friday and Saturday.

50^th Annual Beloit Autorama | Sunday, September 20, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Preservation Park

Explore one of the Midwest’s largest car shows, featuring more than 1,000 vehicles on display. Attendees can browse car parts and collectibles, enjoy food and beverages from local vendors, and discover antique and vintage cars, along with exotic muscle cars. Admission is $10, with pricing varying by age. The celebration kicks off Saturday from 2-11 p.m. with a poker run and live music in honor of the event’s 50^th anniversary.

Beloit Civic Theatre Production: Little Shop of Horrors | See Showtimes Below | Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre

Beloit Civic Theatre’s fall production, Little Shop of Horrors, brings the beloved sci-fi musical to the stage with music, comedy, and a story of a hungry carnivorous plant. Performances are September 24-26 and October 1-3 at 7:30 p.m., with 3 p.m. matinees on September 26-27 and October 3. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

Big Hill Park Centennial Celebration | See Event Dates Below | Big Hill Park

Big Hill Park is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2026 with a month-long centennial celebration honoring a century of history, nature, and community in Beloit. Throughout September, visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities, local history, outdoor recreation, and special exhibits. Highlights include the Big Hill Bird-Day Bash, Big Hill History Lecture, 2k & 5k Trail Run, and The Big Hill Challenge.
