Cartoonist Lynda Barry presents multimedia lecture at Beloit College

Lynda Barry, the internationally acclaimed cartoonist, graphic novelist, and MacArthur
“Genius” fellow, encourages us to interact in the world creatively. Learn how from Barry on Thursday, Feb.16, at the Beloit College Powerhouse’s Weissburg Auditorium.

The New York Times has described Barry as “among this country’s greatest conjoiners of words and images,known for plumbing all kinds of touchy subjects in cartoons, comic strips, and novels, both graphic and illustrated.”

As Beloit College’s 2023 Lois and Willard Mackey Chair in Creative Writing, Barry will delve into humans’longing to draw, write, sing, and dance in her Feb. 16 “What it Is” multimedia presentation.
