Trash Talk: Where Does Your Garbage Go?

The convenience of rolling trash and recycle bins to the curb in the morning and finding them empty in the evening is undeniable. But what happens to household waste once it disappears from those bins?

Join Welty and the City of Beloit Public Works Department for the lecture “Trash Talk: Where Does Your Garbage Go?” on Sunday, March 24 from 2-3:30pm, and learn how municipalities process their residents’ recycling, garbage, and food waste. This lecture will explain how the City of Beloit deals with its waste streams, what the challenges are, and what residents can do to minimize their household waste.
