Tip #1: Allow plenty of time for your meal. It takes more time to prepare your food when it’s homemade.

Tip #3: BRING CASH. They don’t accept credit cards or checks.
Lunch: Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar is a fantastic spot to treat the kids to stuffed burgers and great appetizers. The shakes are a hit with the little ones too. The restaurant features a unique kids’ menu and they can even personalize their “Joey” kids burger with mac and cheese toppings.
Tip #1: Lucy’s is a very popular place and going there early is a great idea because they don’t accept reservations. Call ahead to be put on a waitlist.
Tip #2: Cut your burger in half before biting into it. The toppings are inside the burger and can be molten lava hot!
Sweet Treats: Indulge your sweet tooth at Northwood’s Premium or Flying Pig with their tempting variety of homemade popcorns, beverages, fudges, cookies, ice creams, candies, and chocolates.
Dinner Option 1: Beloit’s first and oldest pizza house, Tilley’s Pizza House, is an excellent choice for enjoying a piping hot pizza, melt-in-your-mouth cheese curds, or a juicy burger.

Tip #2: Love the pizza? Take a frozen pizza home and bake it or ship to loved ones.

Tip #1: Go on a Friday for their famous Fish Fry, they have plenty of fish options!
PLAY:
There are many fun activities for families, here are just a few!
• The Beloit Sky Carp are a High-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and have fireworks on several Friday home games throughout the summer. Sundays are designated as Family Fun Days, offering kids the opportunity to run the bases or play a game of catch on the field post-game. At ABC Supply Stadium, the team hosts numerous enjoyable family-themed game nights, complete with giveaways and promotions!
• Every August, Friends of RiverFront organize “Movie on the Big Lawn,” featuring a family-friendly film that’s always free to attend. Enjoy food vendors and entertaining activities for the kids. Additionally, the Beloit International Film Festival screens outdoor family-friendly movies at different locations throughout the summer, apart from the BIFF Outdoors series, also free for the public to enjoy.
• Visit the nature center at Nature at the Confluence, to learn about the unique ecology and history resulting from the confluence of Turtle Creek and the Rock River in South Beloit.
• Spend a day at the Krueger Municipal Pool and let the kids have fun splashing around in the splash pad or in the big pool.
• Constructed in 1868, Beckman Mill, a grist mill, gained recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and has been meticulously restored to reflect its 1920s-era charm. Guided tours are available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., typically lasting about 45 minutes. Ensure you allocate additional time to fully explore the expansive 52 acre county park surrounding the mill. And don’t forget to let the children choose a keepsake from the gift shop to take home.
• Play video games and jump in bounce houses at Coral Cove Family Fun Center. What better way to let the kids be kids than racing, bouncing, and having a blast in a bounce house room? A wristband gives them access for the entire day, whether sprinting in the obstacle courses or bouncing high for impressive dunks. There are also more than 70 games in the arcade. Kids can take home a souvenir by trading in their tickets for prizes at the end of the day.
