Get Back to Basics and Experience Authentic Farm-to-Table Dining in Beloit, Wisconsin!
Enjoy a hearty and homemade farm-to-table meal prepared with fresh and nutritious ingredients at Double B Farm & Country Café!
Pam, her husband Sean, and their two-year-old son were willing to wait an hour on a Saturday morning for a farm-to-table breakfast recently at Double B Farm and Country Café. Why is that?
“The food is worth it!” Pam explains. “Everything is so fresh! In addition, you can truly taste the difference in the flavor—bacon has now been ruined for Sean everywhere else!”
Pam explains further, “the wait is sometimes long, but with farm animals to watch, my son is more than entertained, and I love that he is learning where his food is coming from!”
About Double B Farm
Double B Farm & Country Café is owned by husband and wife, Dan and Barb Beeler and is located northwest of Downtown Beloit in the rural countryside.
When you pull up to the big red barn with the painted barn quilt surrounded by goats, pigs, ducks, and other farm animals, you feel like you are stepping back in time. The property is reminiscent of what farms were like in the 40s and 50s.
“It’s kind of like when I was a kid,” Barb recalls. “You went to the local restaurant and there’s some old lady like me cooking back there—it brings back memories.”
Dan explains where “Double B” comes from, “Double B developed from my wife doing Belted Galloways, but we also did Beefalo at one time. So, you can take Double B and can say Barb Beeler, or Barb’s Belties, or Barbs’ Beefalo, and now Barb’s Breakfast!”
Farm-to-Table Food at Double B Farm
Many Beloit locals call Double B’s breakfast the best in the area. All meals are served with ingredients raised or grown on the farm, adding excellent quality for a low price. For instance, the “Duck Butt” muffins are made with duck eggs. The muffins are so popular that Dan and Barb have made t-shirts with the name on them and are considering a trademark!
After filling up on a bountiful breakfast or lunch, patrons can purchase items from the store to take home including: antibiotic free pork, beef, chicken, and lamb, along with gourmet brats, baked goods, and artisan goat cheese.
Farm-to-Table Pizza Now Available
In 2018, Dan and Barb decided to expand their offerings and built an outdoor brick oven to make homemade woodfire pizzas and also sell a variety of New Glarus beers. However, the pizzas are only available in Summer on Saturday evenings. They make the dough fresh and many of the toppings come from their farm. The outdoor space makes for a very inviting and family-friendly evening.

With the addition of Saturday night pizza, you can often find locals visiting Double B’s for breakfast and dinner! Nothing says Wisconsin like a homemade pizza on the farm with a cold brew and a sunset.
Does Pam love the pizza as much as breakfast? “I make an effort to try woodfire pizza everywhere we go, even Paris,” she exclaims. “I can say that Double B’s pizza is some of the freshest pizza I’ve had anywhere!”
