New Course Record Set During CDW Girls Junior All-Star Championship
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 21, 2025
Visit Beloit welcomes the AJGA for a premier all-girls golf tournament
BELOIT, Wis. – Visit Beloit, in partnership with American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), hosted the second annual CDW Girls Junior All-Star Championship from August 11-14 at the 116-year-old Beloit Club in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The prestigious tournament attracted 54 golfers from 20 U.S. states and territories – including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin – as well as competitors from five countries: Canada, China, Mexico, Panama, and Taiwan.
Operated by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), the CDW Girls Junior All-Star Championship is a premier event within the ANNIKA Foundation’s Pathway Series. It provided an opportunity for female golfers ages 12-15 to showcase their skills, with the champion earning an exemption to compete in the 2026 Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex.
One record was set during the event by an elite young athlete. Alexandra Snyder of Orlando, Florida, secured the exemption where she was crowned Girls Division Champion, finishing 8 under-par (71-73-64-208) to lock in her third AJGA victory. “I was on the back nine and birdied No. 15 and realized I was in the lead, so I knew I had to play the last three holes one under to secure it,” said the 15-year-old, Synder. She set a new course record with her third-round score for females at the Beloit Club, which underwent a full course renovation in 2015.
Beau Ellington of Paradise Valley, Arizona, finished as the runner-up with a 7 under-par (67-69-73-209). She birdied hole No. 10 in all three rounds and led the field during both the first and second rounds. Courtney Grace of Birmingham, Alabama, took third place, finishing 4 under-par (71-71-70-212). Grace eagled No. 15 in the second round and recorded 11 birdies throughout the tournament.
“Visit Beloit was excited to partner with the AJGA to host such a talented group of female athletes,” said Matthew Bosen, Director of Sales & Servicing with Visit Beloit. “The week started with a Junior-Am to benefit the ANNIKA Foundation, and all those in attendance were wowed by the abilities of the visiting golfers. The three-day competition brought a high level of competition to the Beloit Club, and in the end, it came down to a one-shot difference for the title. Discussions are underway to hopefully bring the event back to the Beloit Club in 2026.”
