Street Dance August 5, 2022
Street Dance is the Downtown Beloit Association’s largest annual event and continues to grow! This year’s event is on Friday, August 5th in the heart of Downtown Beloit and starts at 5:30 pm. Tickets are just $10 and anyone under the age of 14 are free.
The opening band, Shifty Shafer, will take the stage at 5:30 pm and will play all the mega-hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The headliner, Top Flight Band, will take the stage at 8:00 pm and will bring high energy pop, funk, R&B, and more. Be ready to dance!
New this year, make sure you catch the State Street fashion show at 12:30 pm and again at 7:30 pm in between band performances. In the fashion show Always & Forever Formal Wear, Pizzazz, and Chic & Unique will share the latest fashion from their stores.
Several food vendors will be on-site to satisfy your appetite, and there will be a beer tent to quench your thirst!
Make a Day of It!
Come to Beloit early in the day for sidewalk sales and kids fun from 8 am-2 pm. You will find great deals from local shops, artisans, and vendors! Kids’ activities include face painting, balloon animals, and more!
You can also have lunch and enjoy a free concert at Fridays in the Park. For just $8, you get a lunch and drink combo served by a local restaurant from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. This year’s lunchtime music break is brought to you by Back 2 Back and lunch will be served from Fresco Fajita House.
Stroll through the historically preserved downtown, and see an exceptional array of boutiques, galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, a record store, and even an old-fashioned barber shop!

Get up early on Saturday to experience the award-winning Farmers’ Market! This open-air market has been in operation for more than 40 years and is the second largest in the state, showcasing over 130 vendors and bursting at the seams with fresh produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, jewelry, crafts, handmade soaps, kettle corn and pastries, and that’s just the beginning! On August 6th the excitement of the Street Dance continues with sidewalk sales during the Farmers’ Market.
