The Stateline Area offers a variety of winter-themed events and more!
BELOIT, Wis. – The Stateline Area is embracing the winter season in February with a lineup of exciting events, featuring cozy winter-themed activities, special Valentine’s Day celebrations, and more for adults and the whole family to enjoy.
“Whether you’re looking for an indoor or outdoor event in the Stateline Area, we have it all,” says Savannah Schindler, Public Relations Specialist with Visit Beloit. “Not only are there exciting events to enjoy in February, but there are also many more events to look forward to throughout the year!” In addition to these major February events, visit our website for more details on other community happenings.
Winter Crafter & Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, 9am-12pm, November – April | Downtown Beloit Association
- The Beloit Farmers’ Market continues year-round, even though the open-air market is over for the season! Visit to purchase produce, cheese, eggs, honey, meat, crafts, soaps, and other miscellaneous items. Grab lunch from the food truck while you are there and look for free, family-friendly activities in the market.
Public Ice Skating | Fridays & Saturdays, 7-9pm & Sundays 2-4pm | Edwards Ice Arena
- Stop by Edwards Ice Arena throughout the winter for ice skating fun! Public skating sessions are available Friday through Sunday until March. If you don’t have your own skates, rentals are available for just $3 per pair. For those who need extra help on the ice, skate aids are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. A small fee applies to participate in the skate sessions.
Dial M for Murder | See showtimes below | Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre
- Join for a murder mystery production, presented by Beloit Civic Theatre! While promoting her latest mystery in London, Maxine visits her former lover Margot, who reveals she’s being blackmailed for a lost love letter from Maxine. Margot’s husband, Tony, knows everything and has spent a year planning her murder. However, Tony’s plan unravels when Margot kills her attacker in self-defense. This fast-paced adaptation adds thrilling twists, intensifying the suspense of whether Tony will get away with it. Showtimes: February 1, 6, 7, 8 at 7:30pm, February 1, 2, 8 at 3pm at the Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre. Purchase tickets online or at the door.
Rockton Yeti Fest | February 5-8 | Settlers Park & Various Venues in Downtown Rockton
- Shake off the frost with yeti-themed activities and events at this mid-winter festival. The Rockton Yeti Fest features fun for all ages, from snow sculpting displays and a scavenger hunt to dog sledding, a onesie pub crawl, a yeti dance party, and a hot cocoa crawl. Many of the downtown Rockton businesses will participate in the festivities.
Wine Workshop Wednesday | Every Wednesday, 5:30-6:30pm, February-March | Hidden Creek Estates
- Every Wednesday through the end of March, join Jared Malavolti, Director of Operations and Sommelier, for an interactive learning wine class. Each session is $10 and features a fun blind-tasting experience. Hidden Creek Estates also offers a variety of unique events in February, including a French Wine Dinner, Galentine’s Day Cocktail Class, Live Music & Swing Dancing, and the Secrets of the Estates – Murder Mystery Dinner.
First Friday Opening Reception | February 7, 5-7pm | Beloit Art Center
- Support Beloit’s local and regional artists at the Beloit Art Center on the first Friday of each month. Meet the featured artists during introductions, which begin at 6pm. The event is free and open to the public, with refreshments available. Each month, new artists are showcased, and their works are on display.
Galentine’s Day Party | February 13, 5-8pm | Various Venues in Downtown Rockton
- Gather your girlfriends and celebrate Galentine’s Day in downtown Rockton. This special ladies’ night will feature shopping, tarot card and astrology readings, a floral workshop, delicious food and drinks, and much more. Many local businesses in downtown Rockton will be participating.
Drunk in Love Cocktail Class | February 14, 6-8:30pm | truk’t – Barrel Room
- truk’t is hosting its annual Valentine’s Day-themed cocktail class in the Barrel Room. Participants will learn how to craft two refreshing cocktails, accompanied by street tacos and dessert. The event is open to couples, friends, or individuals, but space is limited. Tickets can be purchased online.
17th Annual Maple Sugar Fest | February 22, 8am-12pm | Welty Environmental Center
- Bring the whole family to Maple Sugar Fest, hosted each year by Welty Environmental Center. Learn about maple sugar with activities like hiking the sugarbush, tapping maple trees, and watching sap boil. Enjoy breakfast afterward with pancakes, sausage, and local syrup, along with craft-making and story time. Breakfast tickets will be sold at the door.
Beloit International Film Festival: 20th Anniversary Gala | February 22, 6-9pm | Beloit College Powerhouse Stack
- In 2025, the Beloit International Film Festival marks its 20th anniversary. To celebrate, this event will feature live jazz music, dancing, cocktails, and hors d’oeurves. The 10-day festival runs from March 28 to April 6, with a series of special events leading up to the festival. Tickets for this event can be purchased online.
Artistry & Apps | February 27, 5-7pm | Wright Museum of Art
The Wright Museum of Art has teamed up with the Stateline Family YMCA for an evening of entertainment, food, and an art silent auction. This event will celebrate local artists while raising funds for social-emotional support in childcare programs. Tickets are available online, and space is limited.
