The Stateline Area offers a variety of events to kick off 2025!
BELOIT, Wis. – The Stateline Area is ringing in 2025 with an exciting lineup of events, offering a mix of family-friendly activities for children and fun options for adults to enjoy.
“2024 was an incredible year, full of unique events,” says Savannah Schindler, Public Relations Specialist with Visit Beloit. “Not only are there exciting happenings to enjoy in January, but there are also many more events to look forward to throughout the year!” In addition to these major January events, visit our website for more information on other community happenings.
Winter Crafter & Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, 9am-12pm, November – April | Downtown Beloit Association
- The Beloit Farmers’ Market continues year-round, even though the open-air market is over for the season! Visit to purchase produce, cheese, eggs, honey, meat, crafts, soaps, and other miscellaneous items. Grab lunch from the food truck while you are there and look for free, family-friendly activities in the market.
Public Ice Skating | Fridays & Saturdays, 7-9pm & Sundays 2-4pm | Edwards Ice Arena
- Stop by Edwards Ice Arena throughout the winter for ice skating fun! Public skating sessions are available Friday through Sunday until March. If you don’t have your own skates, rentals are available for just $3 per pair. For those who need extra help on the ice, skate aids are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. A small fee applies to participate in the skate sessions.
First Friday Opening Reception | January 3, 5-7pm | Beloit Art Center
- Support Beloit’s local and regional artists at the Beloit Art Center on the first Friday of each month. Meet the featured artists during introductions, which begin at 6pm. The event is free and open to the public, with refreshments available. Each month, new artists are showcased, and their works are on display.
Charity Cornhole Competition | January 9, 5-7pm | Eclipse Event Center
- Join Visit Beloit, the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, and Forward Janesville for a fun twist on the traditional Business After Hours (BAH) and Business After 5 (BA5) events. Network, enjoy snacks and drinks, and participate in the Charity Cornhole Competition, benefitting Family Services of Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois while playing on professional American Cornhole Organization tournament boards. Purchase your admission online to attend, and for an additional fee, join the tournament.
American Cornhole Organization – Beloit Major | January 10-11 | Eclipse Event Center
- The American Cornhole Organization (ACO) is returning to Beloit for the fifth year of the Beloit Major tournament. Over 100 players from more than 10 states across the U.S. will compete. Spectators can watch the professionals play for free, with food and beverages available for purchase. Tournament play will start early Friday and Saturday, with matches continuing into the evening on both days.
A Toast to The Confluence | January 10, 5:30-7:30pm | Hidden Creek Estates
- Nature at The Confluence is hosting an evening of wine tasting, delicious appetizers, and live music at Hidden Creek Estates. This event celebrates the transformation of the historical Ho-Chunk land into a community learning center. Hear updates from the Executive Director and reflections from a past intern. Tickets are $40 for wine tasting or a themed mocktail, with additional drinks and bottles of wine available for purchase.
Beloit Winterfest | January 24-26 | Various Venues in Beloit
- The winter fun continues after the holiday season with the annual Beloit Winterfest! This event transforms the city into a winter wonderland, featuring a weekend of family-friendly activities. The City of Beloit Parks and Recreation Division collaborates with local businesses and organizations to host a variety of winter-themed events including ice skating, bingo, craft-making, sled dog demonstrations, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more throughout the weekend!
Wine 101: A Rooftop Wine Dinner | January 29, 6-8pm | The Rooftop at Hotel Goodwin
- For wine enthusiasts, a fun-themed wine discovery event will be held at The Rooftop at Hodel Goodwin, hosted by the boutique hotel’s restaurant, Velvet Buffalo. The event features a 4-course meal paired with various wines, with a wine expert sharing valuable insights and tips throughout the evening. Tickets can be purchased online.
Dial M for Murder | See showtimes below | Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre
Join for a murder mystery production, presented by Beloit Civic Theatre! While promoting her latest mystery in London, Maxine visits her former lover Margot, who reveals she’s being blackmailed for a lost love letter from Maxine. Margot’s husband, Tony, knows everything and has spent a year planning her murder. However, Tony’s plan unravels when Margot kills her attacker in self-defense. This fast-paced adaptation adds thrilling twists, intensifying the suspense of whether Tony will get away with it.
