Visit Beloit in November for the Start of the Holiday Season

‘Tis the Season for Holiday Events in Beloit and the Stateline Area!
BELOIT, Wis. – As the leaves continue to fall and cooler weather settles in, November marks a festive transition in the Stateline Area. While some favorite fall events are still underway, local businesses and organizations are beginning to kick off the holiday season with a variety of events.
“We’re entering that special time of year when many fall events are still taking place, but we’re also beginning to see the start of holiday programming that brings our community together to celebrate the season,” says Savannah Schindler, Public Relations Specialist with Visit Beloit. “Whether you’re looking to enjoy the last of fall seasonal events or get a head start on your holiday cheer, there’s something for everyone happening across the Beloit region.” Be sure to visit our website for details on November events and other exciting community happenings throughout the calendar year.
Winter Crafter & Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., November – April | Downtown Beloit Association
- The Beloit Farmers’ Market continues year-round, even though the open-air market is over for the season! Visit to purchase produce, cheese, eggs, honey, meat, crafts, soaps, and other miscellaneous items. Grab lunch from the food truck while you are there and look for free, family-friendly activities in the market.
Kids Bowl Free Sundays | Every Sunday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., October – December | Henry Dorrbaker’s
- Henry Dorrbaker’s, Beloit’s newest pub and play hangout, is offering a great Sunday deal for families. Bring the kids for free bowling – with the purchase of one adult bowler, two kids (ages 12 and under) bowl free by the hour. Come early and enjoy the fun all day. After 8 p.m., the venue is 21+ only.
Jingle Bell Rockton | Friday, November 7 – Sunday, November 9, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Downtown Rockton
- For family-fun activities, join Downtown Rockton’s official Christmas open house. Begin your holiday shopping and win prizes by picking up a stamp card from participating locations, and collect stamps as you shop. There will be plenty of food and beverages during the holiday festivities to enjoy.
Home Run Holiday Lights | November 14 – January 4, 5-10 p.m. | ABC Supply Stadium
- New this year at ABC Supply Stadium, home of the Beloit Sky Carp, is the Home Run Holiday Light Show. This festive, family-friendly ongoing event features more than one million lights synchronized to holiday music, a walk-through display, kids’ train rides, crafts, a Santa letter station, themed nights, character appearances, and a digital scavenger hunt. On-field igloos and fire pits are available to rent, with food and drinks available for purchase. Tickets are on sale now, and the attraction is open nightly from 5-10 p.m.
Big Hill Bonfire Night | Friday, November 21, 4:30-6:30 p.m. | Welty Environmental Center
- Start your weekend with an adults-only bonfire night at Big Hill Park. Bring a picnic dinner, camp chairs, and blankets. Welty will provide a s’mores bar, hot cocoa, and cider. Relax by the fire and enjoy classic campfire songs in a cozy outdoor setting. Tickets are available online with special pricing for members and non-members.
2nd Annual Old Fashioned Festival | Saturday, November 22, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. | The Castle at 501 Prospect
- Old Fashioned cocktail enthusiasts can enjoy a unique festival featuring the classic Wisconsin tradition of Old Fashioneds. The event features tasting stations with whiskey selections, along with live bluegrass music, hands-on cocktail building, and more. This is a 21+ event, and tickets are available at the door for $15 per person or online.
Beloit Boutique Wedding Showcase | Sunday, November 23, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Ironworks Hotel
- For those recently engaged or planning a wedding or special event, Geronimo Hospitality Group is hosting a wedding showcase featuring various vendors from the Stateline area. Explore hotel rooms, meet vendors, and gather inspiration and ideas. Enjoy light appetizers and mimosas, with a cash bar available for other cocktails. While attendance is free, an RSVP is required by November 16.
Grand Lighted Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting | Friday, November 28, 5-8 p.m. | Downtown Beloit
- For more than 30 years, the Downtown Beloit Association has hosted the popular holiday parade. The festivities begin with live music at the First National Bank Plaza at 5 p.m., followed by Santa’s arrival at 6 p.m. to kick off the tree lighting. The parade starts at 6:15 p.m., featuring beautifully decorated floats. Enjoy free hot chocolate and photos with Santa throughout the event.
Small Business Saturday | Saturday, November 29 | Various Shops in Beloit
- As a reminder to shop local during the holiday season, downtown Beloit and its unique shops and boutiques will be open with fantastic deals. Many of these stores feature handmade and locally sourced items that are perfect for those on your holiday shopping list.
