Beloit Winterfest

Looking to beat those winter blues? The City of Beloit Parks and Recreation Division is holding its annual Beloit Winterfest celebration Jan. 23-25, 2026. The City of Beloit is thrilled to offer these recreation opportunities for families to get out and enjoy winter in Beloit. It’s a weekend full of fun winter activities for the whole family!

BINGO

Join the staff at Grinnell Hall for some fun games of bingo and win some prizes!

When: 1-2:30 p.m., Friday, January 23
Where: Grinnell Hall Senior Center, 631 Bluff St.
Cost: Free


OPEN SKATE

Enjoy skating with friends and family

When: 7-9 p.m., Friday, January 23
Where: Edwards Ice Arena, 2101 Cranston Road
Cost: Youth 17 and under: $4 resident/$5 nonresident; Adult: $5 resident/$6 nonresident; Skate rentals: $3


Indoor Farmers’ market

Enjoy the Winter Farmers’ market and participate in fun kids activities

When: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, January 24
Where: Downtown Beloit Association, 557 E. Grand Ave.
Cost: Free


Puzzle Competition

Join this fundraiser. Teams compete to complete a mural puzzle and win prizes and keep the puzzle.

When: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, January 24
Where: Beloit Art Center, 520 E. Grand Ave.
Registration: Pre-registration is required, sign-up here.
Cost: $80 if registered by Jan. 17. Registration increases to $100 Jan. 18-21


Resinscape Night Light Craft & Sip

Create a glowing custom night light with a full hot cocoa bar and hands-on guidance. Perfect for ages 10+ (one person per project).

When: 10 a.m., Saturday, January 24
Where: Hammer & Stain Stateline, 1406 Willowbrook Rd.
Registration: Pre-registration is required, sign-up here.
Cost: $25


WINTER DAZZLE DAY

We’re offering you lots of dazzling ways to have outdoor winter fun! Stop by between 10:00am-12:00pm to enjoy a nature hike, cook popcorn over a fire, and make a decorative paper snowflake. Plus, enjoy storytime for littles at 10:00am, read by staff from the South Beloit Public Library, and guided drawing at 10:30am led by Pete Stasukevich.

Hot cocoa Bar & Kids Activities

Come out to the library to enjoy some hot cocoa, games, crafts, and an indoor snowball fight.

Gym Fun + More

Bring the family for an afternoon of fun featuring face painting, gym activities, and a hot chocolate bar.

SLEIGH RIDEs, BONFIRE & S’MORES

Come out to Big Hill Park to ride on a horse drawn sleigh! Then stay for s’mores provided by Welty Environmental Center. Community Action is providing hot chocolate.

Sledding at Hospital Hill

Hiking, Snowshoeing, and Cross-Country Skiing
Big Hill Park & Turtle Creek Greenway. Check out snowshoes from Beloit Public Library (as supplies are available).
