Successful Turnout for Third Annual Make Music Day – Beloit

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 25, 2025

BELOIT, Wis. – Beloit celebrated the summer solstice on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with Make Music Day – Beloit, a free, citywide, and global event highlighting Beloit’s musical talent. Music filled the streets, parks, and unique venues as musicians of all styles, ages, and skill levels performed, creating a vibrant musical celebration.

First originating in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique, this global celebration of music has now spread to more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. Beloit, for the third consecutive year, was proud to be part of this international music event, joining a lineup of cities across the world that offered their own unique performances. Once again, Wisconsin led the way, with more cities participating in Make Music Day than any other U.S. state.

Visit Beloit, alongside many other members of community businesses, proudly organized the event for the third consecutive year. This year’s turnout surpassed last year’s figures, with 42 performances (matching 42 in 2024), 41 participating artists (compared to 27 in 2024), and 24 venues (compared to 18 in 2024). Additionally, on Friday, June 20, bonus performances were added to the Make Music Day – Beloit lineup, featuring music at Fridays in the Park, Music at Harry’s Place, and Shopiere Days.

“We’re incredibly proud of how Make Music Day – Beloit continues to grow,” said Celestino Ruffini, CEO of Visit Beloit. “This year’s surge in performances, artists, and venues reflects our community’s deepening passion for music and connection. Watching Beloit come alive with sound and energy—alongside cities around the world—is truly inspiring. We’re excited to build on this momentum and keep the celebration going for years to come.”
