BELOIT, Wis. – Summer may be winding down, but the excitement in Beloit is far from over. August is packed with events and activities for everyone. From family fun to outdoor events, there’s so much to enjoy before fall arrives.
“The Stateline Area has been buzzing all summer long, and we still have plenty more events ahead,” says Savannah Schindler, Public Relations Specialist with Visit Beloit. “Mark your calendars for these major upcoming events, from sporting competitions to annual festivals.” In addition to these August events, don’t forget to visit our website for more details on other exciting community happenings throughout the calendar year.
Downtown Beloit Street Dance | Friday, August 1, 5:30-11 p.m. | Downtown Beloit
- The biggest block party of the year returns to downtown Beloit. Kick off the weekend with sidewalk sales from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, where local shops and boutiques offer great deals. Then, head back downtown that evening for the annual Beloit Street Dance. Celebrate more than 30 years of this annual tradition with live music from top regional bands, food trucks, a beer tent, and plenty more. Admission is just $10, and children 13 and under get in free.
Beloit Sky Carp Minor League Baseball Games | April – September | ABC Supply Stadium
- The Beloit Sky Carp, Beloit’s minor league baseball team, offers major league fun at minor league prices, with a full lineup of activities throughout the 2025 season. August’s theme nights include a Supper Clubbers Takeover during every Friday night homestand game, Harry Potter Night (8/2), Star Wars Night (8/16), and Polka Night (8/22), along with plenty of others. Visit Beloit is also hosting a ticket giveaway all season long – just snap a photo next to the Beloit letters on the concourse, tag @VisitBeloit, and use hashtag #VisitBeloit on social media for a chance to win a pair of tickets.
Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., May – October | Downtown Beloit (State Street & Grand Avenue)
- The Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market returns outdoors, kicking off its 50th anniversary year! With more than 130 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, and so much more, it’s the second-largest farmers’ market in Wisconsin, attracting more than 4,000 visitors each week. In addition to shopping, enjoy live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and explore the downtown businesses.
Aperitivo al Velvet | Every Saturday in August, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian
- Experience a taste of Italy every Saturday at Velvet Buffalo. Dine al fresco with cocktails and small bites. No reservations are needed for happy hour on the patio, located at Hotel Goodwin. Just unwind, relax, and enjoy the rotating food and drink menu.
Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra Concert | Sunday, August 3, 3 p.m. | First Congregational Church
- As part of their Musica Maxima summer series, the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra will perform its final concert of the season at First Congregational Church in Beloit. Admission to the concert is free, though freewill offerings are welcome and will support the 2026 season.
Music at Harry’s Place | Every Friday, 7-9 p.m., June – August | Harry C. Moore Pavilion
- Through August, head to Riverside Park for Music at Harry’s Place, a free summer concert series featuring top regional bands every Friday night. Enjoy live music, stunning views of the Rock River, cold beverages, and delicious bites from food trucks and vendors. The event will take a break on Friday, August 1, for the Downtown Beloit Street Dance.
2025 Beloit Kubb Open | Saturday, August 9, 2-10 p.m. | Pohlman Field
- The Beloit Kubb Open returns for the 11th year, this time under the stadium lights at Pohlman Field. Teams of two can register online for the wooden block throwing competition, open to all ages and skill levels. Food and drinks will be available from the Beloit Youth Hockey Association, and teams will have a chance to compete for cash prizes. Spectators are welcome to come watch and cheer on the action.
CDW Girls Junior All-Star Championship | Monday, August 11 – Thursday, August 14 | Beloit Club
- Beloit is proud to welcome 78 of the top female junior golfers ages 12 to 15 from across the globe, including players from Canada, China, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and more than 15 U.S. states, to the Beloit Club. The event begins on Monday with a Junior-Am shamble format fundraiser open to local players and businesses, followed by the main tournament Tuesday through Thursday. Spectators are encouraged to attend, and volunteers are needed to help support the event.
Dancing at Harry’s Place | Every 2nd & 4th Monday, 7-9 p.m., June – August | Harry C. Moore Pavilion
- Come solo or with a partner and learn how to dance during Dancing at Harry’s Place. Every other Monday night, join for free dance lessons featuring styles like Polka, Swing, Line, Waltz, and more. The first hour offers step-by-step instruction, followed by an open dance session to show off your new moves.
Beloit Dirty Dash | Saturday, August 16, 9-11 a.m. | Big Hill Park
- Children ages 4 to 18 are invited to join the Beloit Dirty Dash mud run at Big Hill Park. This annual event draws more than 700 participants for a day of muddy fun, featuring exciting and challenging obstacles for all skill levels. Register online to be part of the action.
Beloit Taco Takedown | Saturday, August 16, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. | Ironworks Campus Spine
- The Beloit Taco Takedown is back this summer at a new location with new features. Enjoy the best tacos from local food trucks and restaurants, drinks, and live music. There will even be a jalapeño-eating contest for brave attendees to test their spice skills. The taco vendor with the most votes will win the 2025 Championship Belt and a cash prize. The event is free and open to all ages, with food and drinks available for purchase. For extra perks, purchase the Don Julio VIP experience online.
Rock the Pride | Saturday, August 16, 12-6 p.m. | Telfer Park
- The Yellow Brick Road organization is hosting its annual Rock the Pride event, featuring a full day of fun with a beach theme. Enjoy speakers, vendors, live performances, storytime, bingo, food trucks, and more. After the event, head to 5BAR in downtown Beloit for a rainbow dance party starting at 9 p.m.
