Halloween and Fall Events Highlight the Season in Beloit and the Stateline Area!
BELOIT, Wis. – Fall has arrived in Beloit, and local businesses and organizations are embracing the spooky season with a lineup of fall events for both families and adults to enjoy throughout the month. Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening in October and beyond across the Stateline area.
“Fall and Halloween events are in full swing now that it’s officially autumn in the Stateline Area,” says Savannah Schindler, Public Relations Specialist with Visit Beloit. “With events and attractions like the Fall Wine Walk, Northern Illinois Fear Fest, and the Halloween Parade & Party, both locals and visitors are excited about everything happening this season.” In addition to these October highlights, be sure to visit our website for details on other exciting community happenings throughout the calendar year.
Vintage Shop Hop – Fall Edition | Friday, October 3 – Saturday, October 4 | Various Stateline Area Shops & Boutiques
- The fall edition of the Vintage Shop Hop will feature more than 400 vintage shops, boutiques, home décor stores, and more across Wisconsin and Illinois. In the Stateline Area alone, seven shops in Beloit, South Beloit, and Rockton will participate, and many locations will offer great promotions.
Oktoberfest | Friday, October 3 – Sunday, October 5, 5-8 p.m. | The Castle at 501 Prospect
- Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Castle at 501 Prospect with local craft beers, live polka music, German heritage dishes, traditional games, and so much more. Admission is $15, which includes a welcome beer. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their own stein.
Northern Illinois Fear Fest | Every Friday & Saturday, 7-11 p.m. & Every Sunday, 7-10 p.m., October 3 – November 2
- Northern Illinois Fear Fest is the Stateline Area’s premier haunted attraction, offering a fright-filled experience throughout the Halloween season for guests ages 16 and older. Explore the Haunted Barn, Haunted Hayride, or Creepy Carnival, with each attraction priced at $15. A kid-friendly hayride is also available on select dates for younger visitors.
Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market | Every Saturday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., May – October | Downtown Beloit
- The outdoor Downtown Beloit Farmers’ Market is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. With more than 130 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, and so much more, it’s the second-largest farmers’ market in Wisconsin, attracting more than 4,000 visitors each week. In addition to shopping, enjoy live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and explore the downtown businesses.
Guided Tours | Every Saturday & Sunday, 1-4 p.m., May – October | Beckman Mill
- Beckman Mill, a 50-acre park with a restored 1868 grist mill, dam, mill pond, and more, hosts guided tours full of history. Tours are available every Saturday and Sunday through October, with additional blacksmith and corn grinding demonstrations on the first Saturday of each month.
Blind Tastings | Every Tuesday, 5 p.m., September – December | 5BAR
- Experience an elevated tasting event every Tuesday evening at 5BAR in downtown Beloit. Guests are invited to participate in free blind tastings featuring a selection of premium spirits, including rum, whiskey, coffee liqueurs, and more. Each week showcases a different liquor category.
Downtown Beloit Fall Wine Walk | Saturday, October 11, 2-6 p.m. | Downtown Beloit Venues
- Each year, the Downtown Beloit Association hosts Spring and Fall Wine Walks, inviting guests aged 21 and over to explore local venues while sampling a variety of wines. Attendees can visit up to 10 locations of their choice, enjoying 2 oz. pours in a commemorative glass. General admission tickets are available online, along with VIP tickets that include exclusive perks.
Taste of the Chamber | Wednesday, October 22, 5-7 p.m. | Eclipse Center
- The Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 9th annual Taste of the Chamber event. The event is a great opportunity to sample food and beverages from local restaurants in Beloit while enjoying live music and social networking. Attendees will also have the chance to vote for the “best” offerings in various categories.
Halloween Parade & Party | Saturday, October 25, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Downtown Beloit
- For more than three decades, the Downtown Beloit Halloween Parade & Party has brought the community together for a celebration where children can dress up and trick-or-treat throughout downtown and the Farmers’ Market. The event kicks off with a parade, beginning at Horace White Park at 10 a.m., and ends with live music, family-friendly activities, and free pumpkins at the Farmers’ Market.
Main St. Trick-or-Treat | Sunday, October 26, 1-3 p.m. | Downtown Rockton
- Downtown Rockton is hosting a trick-or-treating event for children and families of all ages, with many local businesses participating. Kids are encouraged to dress in their costumes and visit businesses for candy and fun, family-friendly activities.
End of Season Halloween Golf Scramble | Friday, October 31, 4 p.m. | Krueger-Haskell Golf Course
- Celebrate Halloween at Kreuger-Haskell Golf Course with their end-of-season 9-hole Halloween scramble. Golfers can form teams of four, register at the clubhouse, and compete for prizes. Following the scramble, enjoy live music by the outdoor fire pit from 7-9 p.m., along with discounts on food and beverages.
